In The United Church of Canada, baptism is seen as an initiation into the new life God gives us as we join the church community.
Baptism in the United Church is a sacrament. It is available to all persons, infants and adults. It is the ritual that formally recognizes we belong to the Christian community. It is an oportunity for people to join a faith community and to be welcomed by that community. Baptism is not a requirement for God's love. We believe people who die without baptism are in no way condemned, lost, or damned.
If you have any questions or would like to proceed with the baptism, please contact our church office and make an appointment to speak with or meet our Minister Vicki Cowan.
